The much-awaited day has come for Cricket Lovers: The Indian Premiere League (IPL) takes off with an impressive show, also featuring the hot Indian Actress Deepika Padukone. This is the third addition of Indian Premiere League (IPL).
Last year the Indian Premiere League – IPL – was played in South Africa (also called IPL Doosra) due to security concerns in India. This years’ Indian Premiere League is more special because of the hype it has created for the last two seasons.
Indian Premiere League or the IPL is over-shadowing the Cricket world with its glamor, commercialism, competition, and stardom (both from Bollywood and the Cricket world). Indian Premiere League (IPL) has created such a strong base in the Cricket World that it has strengthened the position of India in the world of Cricket.

Indian Premiere League – IPL – has made a great impact on the world of Cricket. Although, this year IPL has created controversies when
none of its team’s franchisees selected a single Pakistani cricketer for the third edition of Indian Premiere League, it has not narrowed the charm of the most lucrative cricket league in the world – the IPL.

One of the reasons why Indian Premiere League (IPL) has made such a huge impact is that it has also attracted the Bollywood celebrities. Indians are mad about two things: Cricket and Bollywood. And when both of them combine, imagine what madness it’s going to create: Yes, the Indian Premiere League, IPL.

Indian Premiere League (IPL) has created such a great charisma that not a single cricket lover, no matter where in the world he or she is, can resist the temptation of Indian Premiere League. Some Indian Movie stars have bought Indian Premiere League teams’ franchises; others support their favorite teams of Indian Premiere League. Talk about Sharukh Khan, the bollywood King, who owns the Kolkatta Knight Riders (KKR) in partnership with his fellow star, the hot actress, Juhi Chawla. Although Sharukh’s team didn’t perform well in the last year’s Indian Premiere League, Saurav Ganguly-lead KKR has won their first match in the Indian Premier League 3 against the Deccan Chargers.

Hot and sexy Shilpa Shetty owns (in partnership) Rajasthan Royals, led by Shane Warne, the winners of Indian Premiere League’s first edition in 2008.

The beautiful and hot Indian actress Preity Zinta is the owner of Yuvraj Singh-led Kings XI Punjab.

This is not all. Other Bollywood superstars support their favorite Indian Premiere League teams. According to a report on an Indian website, bollywood stars use the micro-blogging website, Twitter for supporting their favorite teams in the Indian Premiere League. Actor Rahul Bose posted on his Twitter account: “(I) am only 1/2 Bengali, 1/2 Punjabi-Maharashtrian. Lived in Bombay all my life - Mumbai Indians for me…” Mumbai Indians is also supported by the tall and dashing bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan who has bought the team’s jersey to show his support.

Kunal Kohli, the Indian Movie maker has shown support for Kings XI Punjab; whereas R. Madhavan supports Chennai Super Kings. Another Hot and sizzling bollywood actress Dia Mirza says she is going to support 2 teams in the Indian Premiere League: First, she belongs to Hyderabad so she will support Deccan Chargers. But because she now lives in Mumbai, she will also support Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premiere League 2010.

Not only that bollywood superstars own teams or support their favorite teams in IPL they are also vibrant over the results of the Indian Premiere League. When Sharukh Khan’s Kolkatta Knight Riders won their first match against Deccan Chargers on Friday in the opener of Indian Premiere League’s third edition, the hot Indian actress Shilpa Shetty, congrats Shahrukh over his teams victory. Other bollywood celebrities who congratulated the King Sharukh Khan include Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal, Deepika Padukone, Dia Mirza, Riteish Deshmukh and Shekhar Kapur.

There is no doubt that the Indian Premiere League (IPL) enjoys a fair share of the bollywood quotient. Only time will tell whether the Indian Premiere League –IPL – will continue to enjoy this massive support of the Indian Film Industry? But for the near future, Indian Premiere League (IPL) and the Bollywood will continue to hold the nerves of the cricket fans around the world, especially in India and Pakistan!

One final thing: I support the Shahrukh Khan's Kolkatta Knight Riders. Why? Just because of Sharukh Khan. Come on, after all I am a girl! :)

So, girls and boys, this is it. Now it's your turn to speak up! I hope you all will like this post. Now quickly go to Comments, and tell me which teams in the IPL do you support and why? Hurry up, I am waiting!
